AFTERCARE
Remove the plastic film approximately 6-12 hours later and rinse carefully with warm water and mild soap.
When scabbing starts to appear, usually in 2-3 days, it is recommended to apply a very thin layer of cream to the tattoo regularly to keep it hydrated. We recommend Helosan or Bepanthen, which can be purchased in pharmacies in Iceland.
Avoid soaking the tattoo in water for the first week as well as saunas and gyms since there is risk of damage and infection to the tattoo.
It is very important to keep from scratching the tattoo or picking at it.

Your artist might recommend a different aftercare (e.g. wet healing) so make sure to follow their instructions.

WET HEALING
For the first few days the skin will bleed out excess ink that would otherwise result in scabbing if it is not cleaned off straight away.
As result it is best to keep it wrapped in plastic film for the first 3 days. The plastic film needs to be changed 4 times a day.
Remove the film, rinse the tattoo carefully with warm water and mild soap and make sure to wash off all excess ink. Let the skin dry completely for about 10-15 minutes before re-wrapping it with clean plastic film.
When the skin stops getting rid of excess ink it is recommended to take off the plastic wrap completely and apply a very thin layer of cream to the tattoo 2-4 times a day.
